Engineering Manager, Business Management - (Vendor)
We are seeking an Engineering Manager for the Vendor Growth - Business Management Tribe. The focus of the Vendor Growth product line is to enhance the post-onboarding vendor experience- empowering them to efficiently manage their businesses, monitor performance, and process orders. This role is responsible for leading the Tech Foundation Squad, which drives the development of our core platforms to ensure a coherent and seamless experience. Business Management Tribe works across multiple technologies (Kotlin/Golang, Android Flutter/Dart, React, Kubernetes, and AWS).
Lead a high-performing team: Manage a cross-functional team of 8 engineering professionals.
Collaborate effectively: Partner closely with other teams to help them deliver business-critical services.
Drive operational excellence: Leverage cutting-edge practices - including chaos engineering, canary deployments, and load testing - to maintain uptime above 99.995%.
Manage global scale: Deliver features across more than 75 countries and 26 production environments in a cost-effective manner.
Master a diverse tech stack: Work across multiple technologies, including Kotlin/Golang, Android (Flutter/Dart), React, Kubernetes, and AWS.
- An engineering background with the ability to assess complex technical decisions, pinpoint potential issues, and devise effective solutions.
At least 3 years of experience leading cross-functional teams, empowering and mentoring engineers (including Staff Engineers) to enhance their leadership skills.
Proven accountability for high-complexity, high-traffic applications, including experience building large-scale distributed systems and familiarity with incident management protocols.
A keen eye for engineering productivity, with the ability to identify and address bottlenecks to ensure frequent, high-quality deliverables.
A mindset aligned with continuous deployment, agile methodologies, cloud-based infrastructure, and a strong emphasis on experimentation and testing.
