The role

We’re looking for a Front End Software Engineer with a passion for modern web technologies to join our growing engineering team in Berlin. You’ll work primarily with React to develop and enhance features on our customer-facing website and internal tools, integrating with Python-based APIs in a containerised, service-oriented environment.

You'll be based in our friendly Berlin office, working closely with co-located team members and colleagues in the UK. We operate a hybrid model with in-office days typically on Tuesday and Thursdays. English is our team’s working language.

What you will be doing

• Develop new features using TypeScript, JavaScript, React, NextJs
• Enhance and maintain existing features, fixing bugs and responding to evolving requirements
• Contribute to our atomic React component libraries
• Work closely with UX designers to ensure high-quality, user-friendly interfaces
• Collaborate with Backend and QA teams to ensure smooth API integration

What we are looking for

• JavaScript development experience, ideally with React and modern tooling
• Strong proficiency in HTML and CSS (preferably SCSS or CSS-in-JS)
• Confident in debugging and writing unit and integration tests
• A good eye for UI and UX design
• Experience working with APIs and integrating front-end applications
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development practices
• A collaborative mindset and openness to working across disciplines within your team
• An interest in the potential of AI tools
