Backed by top-tier investors (Earlybird, b2venture) and growing faster than a dad joke at a Monday all-hands, we're seeking a Head of People & Culture (f/m/d) to architect the structures, rituals, and experiences that empower our team to thrive as we scale from 30+ people to something much bigger.

What You Will Do

Build and Run the Foundation

  • Lead the full hiring process including job definitions, sourcing, tooling, and candidate experience - and hire a Recruiter (f/m/d) once that's in place

  • Roll out tools and systems for onboarding, compensation, feedback, and development

    Design onboarding plans with hiring managers, and implement early success monitoring such as 30/60/90 milestones

  • Define and track measurable people-related KPIs in collaboration with department leads and Operations

  • Lead HR Ops such as contracts, payroll, compliance, and administrative processes, with a focus on Germany first

Enable Leadership

  • Define career paths and seniority levels using structured tools such as Progression

  • Help team leads run consistent and productive performance conversations

  • Provide toolkits and support for leaders to build effective, scalable team practices

Shape Culture and Scale Operations

  • Work with the leadership team to translate values into communication standards, and internal rituals

  • Coach leads on feedback, team development, and conflict resolution

  • Manage external partners including recruiters, legal, and payroll

  • Build the roadmap and team for the future internal People function

What You Bring

  • Experience leading People, HR, or Talent functions in fast-scaling startups (having mastered this journey from Seed stage)

  • Willingness to be hands-on in building and running processes yourself

  • Strong understanding of the German job market, employment law, and regulatory requirements

  • Ability to create clarity and systems in a fast-changing environment

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills

  • Full professional proficiency in English and German

  • You’re not afraid to challenge C-Level (constructively). You bring your voice to the table.
