Fractional UI/UX Designer

A newly funded cybersecurity startup in Berlin is looking for a UI/UX Designer to join as a fractional team member and help design the UI/UX for the core security platform foundations of a next-generation AI-powered security risk management platform.

We are an early-stage startup founded by experienced cybersecurity leaders with backgrounds in Israeli Intelligence units. We are looking for a hands-on Fractional UI/UX Designer for a hybrid role based in central of Berlin. We’re building a next-generation cyber risk platform that helps enterprises understand, measure, and reduce identity risk at scale. Our goal is to turn complex identity and security data into clear, actionable risk insights that CISOs and CTOs can trust. You will work from scratch on core platform components from day one, shaping how modern enterprises manage and reason about risk using cloud-native systems and AI-driven analysis and automated enforcement through AI Agents. This role is open for Onsite as first priority and remote as second priority. Role can be consider also as employment or Freelance agreement. This is 50% part time opportunity.

Key Responsibilities

• Design end-to-end UI/UX for a B2B SaaS cyber platform, including dashboards, workflows, and user journeys from scratch

• Create wireframes, user flows, and interactive prototypes in Figma

• Define and maintain a scalable design system (components, typography, colors, spacing)

• Collaborate closely with Product and Engineering to translate requirements into usable interfaces

• Design and maintain the company website (landing pages, product pages, content sections)

• Ensure consistency across product UI, website, and brand touch points

• Define platform information architecture, navigation, and core UX principles

• Own wireframes, user flows , and interaction logic (from low-fidelity to production-ready concepts)

• Translate user needs, risk scenarios, and business goals into intuitive UI/UX decisions

• Continuously refine user journeys based on user feedback , usage data, and product insights

• Ensure complex security and risk concepts are expressed in simple, usable interfaces

• Build whole platform from scratch

Must have skills

• 10+ years of hands-on experience designing complex B2B SaaS UI/UX for web platforms of technical products

• Proven ability to design end-to-end user journeys using Figma (flows, wireframes, interactive prototypes)

• Strong experience with design systems and component-based UX (Figma libraries, tokens, variants)

• Proved Portfolio experience with designing Cyber, Observability or Deep Technical products

• Solid understanding of UX principles , information architecture, and interaction design

• Experience designing data-heavy interfaces (tables, dashboards, filters, charts)

• Ability to work from low-fidelity wireframes to production-ready designs

• Experience designing AI-powered features, AI Agents, Text based Conversational interfaces

• Experience working with AI-powered features (recommendations, scoring, summaries, user flow generators)

• Strong grasp of UX for complex domains (security, risk, finance, compliance, or enterprise admin tools)

• Experience in using TOP design AI tools(Figma, Illustrator, Miro and other)

• Hands-on coding mentality ; can build MVP and early user flows yourself.

• Ability to build things from scratch at early stage startup

• High ownership mentality, startup mindset, and ability to move quickly

• Experience in startup or scale-up environments

• Low ego, high commitment, and a true tech startup mentality .

• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment.

• Perfect English communication

Nice-to-have requirements

• Experience with cybersecurity, IAM, GRC, or risk management platforms

• Familiarity with frontend frameworks (React, component-based UIs)

• Experience creating and maintaining marketing websites (Webflow, Framer, or custom)

• Ability to support PR and brand materials (pitch decks, one-pagers, visuals)

• Experience with print-ready assets (brochures, roll-ups, event materials)

• Familiarity with data visualization concepts

• Understanding of enterprise buying personas (CISO, CTO, Security, Risk teams)

• Experience designing multi-tenant SaaS platforms

• Previous experience in cybersecurity , identity startups

• You are a fan of rock or metal music

• German language knowledge
