Senior Data Engineer (all genders)

JustPlay is seeking a highly experienced Senior Data Engineer to join our team and play a key role in building and maintaining a robust, scalable, and high-performing data infrastructure. In this role, you will leverage your technical expertise to design data pipelines, optimize performance, ensure data quality, and collaborate cross-functionally to meet evolving business needs. If you're passionate about working with modern cloud technologies like GCP, writing clean and maintainable code, and continuously learning new tools to drive data excellence—this is the opportunity for you.

Tasks

• Leverage your technical expertise to support the design, development, and maintenance of our data infrastructure
• Write maintainable, performant code and participate in code review effort
• Collaborate (both asynchronous and synchronous) with other functions to ensure data needs are addressed
• Create and maintain architecture and systems documentation
• Research and develop the most suitable methods to extract/transform/serve data from and to various sources
• Develop and maintain data quality standards and optimize data performance and scalability
• Ability to learn and experiment with new technologies and concepts to improve overall team performance and data stack

Requirements

• At least 6 years of experience in data engineering
• Expertise of cloud computing platforms, especially Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• Proficient in programming languages such as Python, Java, Scala, or C++
• Good understanding of software engineering principles (e.g. Git, Docker, code testing)
• Experience with reporting tools (e.g. Metabase, Looker)
• Proficient in SQL and data modeling skills
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal
