Working Student Founder Associate (m/f/d)

Are you interested in gaining insights into an early-stage startup led by experienced founders? At ephema Labs, you’ll have the unique opportunity to observe the entire process of building a startup from the ground up. You’ll work closely with a team that has a proven track record of scaling VC-funded startups to profitability. In this role, you'll serve as the right hand of the founders, gaining exposure to various aspects of establishing a company, including business strategy, legal frameworks, and accounting processes.

Tasks

Your role involves supporting the founding team with a wide range of tasks, including but not limited to:

• Assisting the founders with strategic planning processes
• Be hands-on operational involved in the day-to-day business
• Taking responsibility for preparatory accounting tasks ('Vorbereitende Buchhaltung')
• Supporting event-related activities such as location scouting and managing supplier relationships
• Assisting with government grant applications and programs
• Supporting partnership negotiations and agreements

Requirements

• Student in business, industrial engineering, or related fields, with strong academic performance
• Entrepreneurial mindset with a proactive, can-do attitude
• Analytical and structured problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and efficiently
• Fluent in English and at least C1 level in German
• Basic understanding of bookkeeping principles (and learn how they are applied in practise)
• Curiosity and eagerness to learn more about technology entrepreneurship & communities
• Previous experience through internships in consulting or a technology startup is a plus
• Being based in Berlin is preferred, but remote work is possible
