Billing Technology

Billing is a strategic platform that supports all the four business lines in Corporate Bank – these are Cash Management, Security Services, Trust & Agency Services and Trade finance & lending businesses. The Billing Technology tribe is 75+ member team helping global business divisions of Corporate Bank in Americas, EMEA and APAC countries realize revenues from our clients for the services they are using from our bank. Revenue generation & mitigating revenue leakage is at the heart of the banks profitability metrics making the Billing application strategically important for our business, technology and operations stakeholders. You would understand the banks product lines, pricing mechanisms and tax calculation complexities. You would work with high value payments, instant payments, swift and sepa messages, funds and deal related data to support use cases that are real time, near real time or scheduled. You would engineer and design solutions that are critical and run 24x7 real-time to process 1.5K transactions within 200 milliseconds or work on near-real time use cases processing 250K transactions within 30 mins to processing large size batches of 1.5 million transactions a day to generate 100K invoices that helps Deutsche Bank realize annual revenues worth EUR 100 million.

What You’ll Do – You would drive & contribute to the technology strategy for the Corporate Bank, simplifying the technology stack with cutting edge modern technologies like Google cloud suite and Java micro-services. You would work with architects & product managers to solve problems with agile methodologies to release features every sprint and deliver high quality software engineering solutions.

Your key responsibilities

• Quality Assurance (QA) is responsible for ensuring testing strategies, plans and deliverables are executed for all applications and programs of work within their domain.
• Drive regression suite, making it robust and re-usable with coverage across all billing apps, reduce the turnaround time for squads to identify bugs introduced via incremental code. Achieve maximum automation and performance test coverage.
• Designing and conducting testing procedures and frameworks to verify software and other technical products to ensure expected functional performance
• Define and monitor key quality engineering metrics (code coverage, automation coverage, defect leakage, etc.).
• Investigating instances where software and technical products do not perform as expected
• Designing and conducting quality assurance practices to support business development activities
• Driving the adoption of recognized best practice and policy and contributes to the ongoing improvement of methodologies and assets for the business
• Recording of defects and the collation of metrics and KPI information for reporting purposes
• Mentor and motivate junior team members

Your skills and experiences

• Proficiency in Java (mandatory) to write scripts that automate the testing process
• Strong knowledge and profound multi-annual working experience of Selenium/playwright, Postman, SQL, Cucumber, working with Rest APIs
• Manage source code repositories, perform branching, merging, tagging, and create workflows for automation execution pipeline in GitHub.
• Deep knowledge/experience of building test automation suites and ability to work with existing frameworks
• Manage SIT, work with business on UAT and own regression & performance testing ahead of every release
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines using tools like Teamcity, Jenkins, GitLab, Azure DevOps, Bamboo.
• Experience of working within Agile frameworks is essential as are strong communication skills and teamwork
• Ability to decompose acceptance criteria into detailed test cases using decision tree
• People and project leadership experience
• Good to have: Javascript, Node.js, Knowledge on Google cloud technology
• Good to have: Knowledge on performance testing tools like perfmon, load runner etc.
