What you'll do 

We are looking for a DevOps Engineer (f/m/d) in the areas of Business Technology Platform within the Technology & Engineering unit of the Sovereign Cloud Delivery & Operations team in the Platform Engineering board area.

In this role, you will join the Sovereign Cloud Platform engineering team. We build, harden, and operate the SAP Sovereign Cloud environments used as reference by the regional Operations teams. You will be working closely with SAP product teams, technical product managers, developers, security experts, and regional operators. You will be working on deployment automation, product operations/deployments, deployment documentation, as well as supporting SAP Sovereign Cloud regional operations teams.

 

The role can be filled in Berlin and St. Leon-Rot. During the application and selection process, candidates will be informed which manager they will be working with upon hiring as there are multiple managers involved. We look forward to your application!

 

What you bring

• University degree in computer science, engineering or similar
• 4+ years of working experience in Cloud Delivery related fields and technologies with 2+ years of automation experience 
• Professional experience in Cloud Delivery as well as public cloud providers such as AWS, GCP and Azure)
• Experience with technologies like Container Orchestration (Kubernetes), Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible), Monitoring and Logging (Prometheus, Elasticsearch, Kibana or Grafana)
• Experience with automation tools such as Ansible or Terraform and CI/CD pipelines e.g. Jenkins, CircleDI, DroneCI or ArgoCD as well as strong knowledge of Git
• Experience in Cloud Native technologies such as Kubernetes (K8s), Docker and microservices is a big plus
• Strong knowledge of scripting languages such as Bash or Python
• A history of setting up, managing, and optimizing CI/CD pipelines.
• Fluency in written and spoken English
