Your future contribution

HomeToGo is looking for a Senior Tax Manager (m/f/d) to take ownership of key strategic tax topics and drive group-wide tax initiatives in a complex international setup. In this role, you will collaborate with departments across the organization—including Finance, Legal, Product, and Business Intelligence—to assess tax implications of business decisions and support the sustainable growth of our international setup. You will be involved in a broad range of tax matters relevant to an international group setup; a strong interest in VAT topics is considered a plus. We are looking for a candidate with relevant expertise, who shows pragmatism, uses their strong communication skills to easily build internal relationships and has a passion to work in a fast-paced international environment.

How you’ll add value

• Have several years of relevant experience in the tax department of an international company or in a tax advisory firm
• Have passed the German tax advisor exam (Steuerberater/in) – a strong plus
• Independently lead and manage high-impact, group-wide tax initiatives
• Drive decision-making on complex international tax issues, including cross-border structuring and risk mitigation
• Provide strategic and operational tax advice to internal stakeholders across departments
• Continuously identify and implement improvements in VAT processes, focusing on automation and innovation working with our VAT reporting team
• Support international tax structuring and cross-border compliance
• Contribute to the development and implementation of efficient, scalable tax prosesses

• Play an active role in shaping the Tax Function, including the improvement of tax policies and internal processes

You’ll be successful in this role if you

• Have several years of relevant experience in the tax department of an international company or in a tax advisory firm
• Have passed the German tax advisor exam (Steuerberater/in) – a strong plus
• Possess in-depth knowledge of German and international tax matters, including VAT
• Possess strong communication skills, self-motivation, and a result-oriented working style
• Bring a strategic, hands-on, and business-oriented approach to tax
• Communicate effectively in both English and German
• Are tech-savvy and thrive in a dynamic, fast-moving, international environment
