The position

Internship - Renewable Energy and Green Finance

• Location:  in person in Berlin or fully remote
• Reports to:  MEI consultant
• Duration:  3 – 6 months
• Preferred start date:  On a rolling basis
• Salary/month (EUR) :  450

The company is looking for a spanish speaking  intern to support the consultancy team by performing desk research and data analysis in the context of several projects aiming to implement renewable energy solutions and promote  green finance.

This internship is an excellent opportunity to obtain practical experience in the areas of project management, inclusive finance, renewable energy, energy efficiency and promotion of sustainability in developing countries. The intern will work in a young and dynamic environment with an international and multidisciplinary team.

Description of tasks

Under the supervision of an MEI consultant, the intern will have the following responsibilities:

• Desk support, including but not limited to literature and market research in the areas of: renewable energy, energy efficiency, climate change mitigation and adaptation and green finance, report writing and data analysis
• Facilitate the sharing of lessons learned from previous projects in the field of energy and financial inclusion
• Support of the team during field missions or in background research for project acquisition activities
• Perform other job-related tasks as assigned

You should:

• Be a student who needs to do an obligatory internship as part of his/her studies. A declaration from the university is required
• Have an educational background in engineering, economics, sustainable development, resource management or a related field
• Have a professional working knowledge of English (written and verbal); excellent knowledge of spanish 
• Have an advanced knowledge of MS Office (Word, PowerPoint and Excel), knowledge of other software (e.g. GIS, programming languages) will be seen as an advantage
• Be a team player with strong quantitative skills and proactive attitude to tasks and responsibilities
• Have a demonstrated ability to work in a fast moving environment with changing needs and deadlines

La empresa busca un/a estudiante de habla hispana para realizar prácticas y apoyar al equipo de consultoría mediante investigación documental y análisis de datos en el contexto de varios proyectos enfocados en implementar soluciones de energía renovable y promover las finanzas verdes.

Estas prácticas representan una excelente oportunidad para adquirir experiencia práctica en las áreas de gestión de proyectos, finanzas inclusivas, energía renovable, eficiencia energética y promoción de la sostenibilidad en países en desarrollo. El/la estudiante trabajará en un entorno joven y dinámico, con un equipo internacional y multidisciplinario.

Descripción de tareas

Bajo la supervisión de un/a consultor/a de MEI, el/la estudiante en prácticas tendrá las siguientes responsabilidades:

• Apoyo documental, incluyendo pero no limitado a investigación bibliográfica y de mercado en las áreas de energía renovable, eficiencia energética, mitigación y adaptación al cambio climático y finanzas verdes, redacción de informes y análisis de datos
• Facilitar el intercambio de lecciones aprendidas de proyectos anteriores en el ámbito de la energía y la inclusión financiera
• Apoyo al equipo durante misiones de campo o en investigaciones preliminares para actividades de adquisición de proyectos
• Realizar otras tareas relacionadas con el puesto que le sean asignadas

Perfil deseado del/de la candidato/a

Buscamos personas con las competencias y habilidades adecuadas para el puesto, que además demuestren cualidades personales alineadas con nuestros valores.

Debería:

• Ser estudiante que deba realizar unas prácticas obligatorias como parte de su programa académico. Se requiere una declaración oficial de la universidad
• Tener formación académica en ingeniería, economía, desarrollo sostenible, gestión de recursos o un campo relacionado
• Tener dominio profesional del inglés (oral y escrito) y excelente manejo del español
• Poseer conocimientos avanzados de MS Office (Word, PowerPoint y Excel); se valorará el conocimiento de otros programas (por ejemplo, GIS, lenguajes de programación)
• Tener capacidad de trabajo en equipo, sólidas habilidades cuantitativas y una actitud proactiva hacia las tareas y responsabilidades
• Demostrar capacidad para trabajar en un entorno dinámico con necesidades y plazos cambiantes
