Job Description

We are on the lookout for a Senior Specialist, Employee Relations to join the People & Culture team on our journey to always deliver amazing experiences. 

We are seeking a proactive and experienced ER Specialist to join our dynamic team in Berlin. In this pivotal role, you will not only provide expert guidance on a wide range of employee relations matters but also take a key role in developing and implementing ER projects and initiatives. With each initiative you support, you'll be building a positive culture that fuels innovation, teamwork, and a sense of belonging across our global organization. 

• Provide advice and hands-on support in managing complex employee relations cases, including disciplinary, grievance, performance, and long-term sick leave matters, ensuring alignment with our policies and German labor law.

• Lead and contribute to key ER projects, from developing and implementing new policies to driving process improvements that enhance our ER framework.

• Partner with People Partners and business leaders to provide strategic ER advice and guidance on reorganization, restructuring, and change management initiatives.

• Prepare documentation for and assist in consultations and negotiations with the Works Council, particularly on ER-related projects and business decisions, fostering a constructive partnership.

• Develop and deliver targeted training for leaders and People Partners to improve their ER capabilities and drive better, more consistent decisions.

• Collaborate with our Employment Legal and Compliance teams to balance risk, and analyze ER data to identify trends and proactively inform preventative strategies.

Qualifications

• You have at least 2 years of experience in an Employee Relations, HR Business Partner, or a similar People-focused role, with a solid understanding of German labor law.
  You have hands-on experience in managing a variety of ER cases, including disciplinary actions, grievances, and performance management. 

• You have experience working with a German Works Council; you are skilled in preparing documentation for and assisting in consultation and negotiation processes. 

• You are a strong communicator and collaborator, with excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to build positive relationships at all levels. 

• You bring a creative and structured approach to problem-solving, with proven experience in managing HR or ER-related projects. 

• You are fluent in English; German language skills are a significant advantage for effective collaboration with the Works Council and local stakeholders.
