Your Mission

As a Senior Backend Developer, your mission is to design, build, and continuously improve Bling’s backend infrastructure to ensure it is robust, scalable, and future-ready. You will take ownership of driving technical excellence across our systems, enabling our product to evolve smoothly as we grow. By optimizing performance, ensuring reliability, and introducing best practices, you will empower the Product Team to deliver outstanding experiences to our users. Ultimately, your work will be a cornerstone in shaping a resilient backend foundation that supports innovation, scale, and long-term success.

What you'll be doing

• You develop and maintain high-performance backend services using Node.js and TypeScript.
• You support the technical planning, architecture design, and backend API integration.
• You optimize database performance with MongoDB, PostgreSQL, AWS, and Redis.
• As a Senior Backend Engineer, you lead by example in code quality, best practices, and performance optimization, conducting thorough code reviews and mentoring team members.
• You collaborate closely with designers, product managers, and the development team to deliver innovative solutions.
• You continuously improve the backend infrastructure to support Bling's growth and vision.

What we're looking for

• You have at least 4 years of experience in a backend development role, with strong expertise in Node.js and TypeScript.
• You are proficient in working with databases such as MongoDB, AWS, and Redis, ensuring scalable and efficient data management.
• You have hands-on experience with Docker or other containerization technologies, enabling smooth deployment and operations.
• You thrive in a collaborative environment, working closely with cross-functional teams to drive innovation in financial education for families.
• You are passionate about fintech and excited to contribute to a company like Bling that is transforming the banking world.
• You are a strong communicator who can effectively collaborate, articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, and foster a transparent and supportive team culture.
