The Opportunity

We're hiring a VP of Engineering to lead the transformation of a legacy data ecosystem into a modern, cloud-native, AI-first platform. This role will directly support a cutting-edge AI-powered suite and define the data strategy powering real-time decision-making across multiple product lines.

Reporting to the CTO, you will spearhead a multi-year roadmap focused on Lakehouse architecture, real-time data pipelines, and intelligent data activation.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the shift from on-prem systems to cloud-native Lakehouse architecture (AWS, Databricks, Kafka).

Design scalable, real-time pipelines for analytics and AI/ML workloads.

Integrate tools such as dbt, Monte Carlo, and reverse ETL frameworks to ensure high data reliability.

Architect data foundations for AI features, including recommendations and scoring models.

Build and scale a distributed engineering team across Europe and Asia.

Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to embed data-driven intelligence into all services.

What You'll Bring

10+ years in data engineering/architecture; 5+ years in leadership roles.

Hands-on experience delivering AI-first product platforms.

Expertise in modern cloud ecosystems (AWS, Snowflake, Spark, Kafka, Airflow).

Strong grasp of MLOps, real-time data pipelines, and data quality governance.

Proven ability to lead multi-location engineering teams and execute transformation roadmaps.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Nice to Have

Experience building AI/ML platforms in product-first or scale-up environments.

Familiarity with procurement/travel, or logistics domains.

Background in event-driven architectures and real-time analytics.
