Business Director Asphalt Additives EMEA (m/f/d)

ecopals is building the leading performance additive platform for asphalt and bitumen modification, engineered for regional, sovereign supply chains and backed by strong unit economics. Our current product line is built on high-performance polymers, with further additive categories in active development. In the last two years, we have scaled to active operations in more than 10 EU countries, and we are now pushing decisively into Eastern Europe, CEE and North Africa.

We win through our distributor network: the strongest partners in each market, serving asphalt mixing plants and bitumen modifiers as end customers. As we enter our next growth phase, we are looking for a senior commercial leader to own and scale this network across our entire international footprint, and to become the driving force behind ecopals' next stage of expansion.

Tasks

You own the commercial outcome for your markets end to end: building the distributor network, deepening it into a durable competitive advantage, and translating it into sustained revenue growth. You operate with a high degree of autonomy, backed directly by management and the technical team, and you set the pace for how fast ecopals grows in your regions.

• Partnership Growth : Build, expand and lead ecopals' distributor network across your assigned markets; identify and secure the strongest possible partners in each target country.
• Revenue Ownership : Take full ownership of revenue growth across your regional footprint; set and deliver ambitious commercial targets.
• End-Customer Command : Develop a deep, current understanding of asphalt mixing plants' and bitumen modifiers' needs, and use that insight to make your distributors more competitive.
• Commercial Negotiation : Lead negotiations on framework agreements, pricing and terms directly with distribution partners.
• Technical Authority : Bring genuine technical credibility to every conversation, grounded in asphalt modification, paving processes and end-customer requirements.
• Market Strategy : Shape ecopals' go-to-market strategy for your regions in direct collaboration with the management team.
• Representation : Represent ecopals at the highest level, trade fairs, conferences, and strategic meetings with partners and end customers, alongside management and the technical team.
• Reporting : Own your pipeline in HubSpot and report directly on partner and revenue performance.

Requirements

• At least 7 years of proven success in sales or business development of asphalt additives, bitumen modifiers or comparable road construction products.
• An established, high-value international network across distributors, asphalt mixing plants and bitumen modifiers, with strength in the EU, Eastern Europe, CEE and North Africa.
• Deep technical command of asphalt modification and performance additives, sufficient to be seen as a trusted authority by both distributors and end customers.
• A track record of building and scaling B2B partner networks, ideally through distributor-led go-to-market models.
• A genuinely autonomous operator, someone who takes full ownership of a region and delivers without close oversight.
• Willingness to travel extensively and internationally, with distribution partners and with ecopals' management and technical team.
• Fluent business English; French, Arabic or Eastern European languages are a strong plus.
