The Role

• Supporting the Head Pastry Chef in developing and executing a top-tier pastry concept, including bespoke private events and seasonal menus for Verōnika Restaurant & Bar

• Co-responsibility for the successful execution of a diverse dessert menu (à la carte, private events, seasonal offerings)

• Responsibility for planning, organizing, and preparing desserts, ice creams and sorbets, breads, rolls, and chocolates for Verōnika Restaurant & Bar

• Ensuring high quality and consistency across all pastry products, while also assisting in the development and implementation of quality control processes

• Following recipes accurately and minimizing food waste

• Training, developing, and guiding the pastry team in adhering to recipes, portion sizes, and preparation standards

• Co-responsibility for daily, weekly, and monthly purchasing and order planning, taking into account availability, seasonality, and quality

• Maintaining a strong and consistent presence in the kitchen, particularly during peak service hours

• Ensuring and monitoring full compliance with all HACCP standards

• Daily cleaning and organization of the pastry section

• Participation in daily service briefings and cross-departmental meetings

Requirements

• At least 5 years of professional experience as a Pastry Chef, including a minimum of 3 years in concept-driven, service-oriented kitchens
• Solid knowledge of both classical and modern pastry techniques
• Experience in developing creative dessert concepts with sensitivity to cultural and dietary considerations
• Strong sense of quality, organizational talent, and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset
• High level of responsibility and a passion for training and mentoring team members
• Good knowledge of food safety regulations, HACCP standards, and hygiene protocols
• Flexibility, resilience, and a structured, efficient approach to work
• Passion for the craft, creativity, and a strong drive to exceed expectations
