Software Engineer specialised in Enterprise Software Integrations (m/f/d)

As a TypeScript Engineer focused on integrations, you’ll build the bridges that connect our AI-powered platform with customer systems, data pipelines, and third-party services.

You’ll join a calm but ambitious VC-backed B2B startup where your work shapes how global trade teams operate. Collaborate closely with product, AI engineering, and customer-facing teams to design and ship reliable, well-structured integrations that power real operational impact.

Tasks

Integration & Platform Development

• Design, implement, and maintain integrations between our platform and external systems (APIs, ERPs, customs software, data sources).
• Own integration workflows end-to-end: from technical discovery to production deployment.
• Build TypeScript packages, services, and internal tooling that make integrations reliable, observable, and maintainable.
• Extend our GraphQL/REST API surface and backend services where needed to support integration use cases.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Work with customer-facing teams to understand integration requirements and translate them into robust technical solutions.
• Collaborate with AI engineers to connect model outputs with downstream systems.
• Contribute technical input to product decisions involving data flows, system boundaries, and platform capabilities.

Code Quality & Reliability

• Ensure integrations are resilient, well-typed, observable, and easy to operate.
• Identify bottlenecks in data flows and improve performance and reliability.
• Maintain and evolve automated tests for integration logic and platform services.
• Improve internal tooling and CI/CD processes to streamline integration development.

Knowledge Sharing

• Participate in code reviews and documentation to spread best practices across the team.
• Help define standards for integrations, API design, error handling, and operational readiness.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, ideally building or maintaining integrations, backend services, or data pipelines.
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript across backend and shared codebases.
• Experience with APIs (GraphQL/REST), Node.js services, and relational databases such as Postgres.
• Familiarity with enterprise software solutions like ERP, PIM, Document Storage, etc.
• Ability to design clear integration architectures (webhooks, polling, messaging, auth flows, data mapping).
• Experience with API clients, SDKs, or integration frameworks is a strong plus.
• Comfortable working with partners and internal teams to clarify ambiguous or evolving requirements.
• You embrace AI tooling and modern developer workflows.
