Director, Product & Tech - Global Food Services

Job Description

We are looking for a Director of Product & Tech to lead the digital backbone of our Cloud Kitchens vertical. GFS is Delivery Hero’s physical infrastructure arm that builds cloud kitchens to facilitate the geographic expansion of restaurants, and your mission is to oversee its digital ecosystem. You will lead the teams that build the tools used by our sales teams, our cloud kitchen operations staff, and our restaurant partners across the globe.

This is a unique "Physical-meets-Digital" role. You aren't just building software; you are building the operating system for physical cloud kitchens where efficiency is measured in seconds and orders.

You will own the strategy and execution of GFS CRM, Cloud Kitchen Operations, and Vendor Operations products, working closely with engineering, data, commercial and regional teams. You'll ensure local teams have the flexibility they need, while maintaining consistency and measurable business impact globally. Beyond leading our internal teams, you will act as a Strategic Integrator, ensuring that the GFS tech stack is not an island. You will actively collaborate with the wider Delivery Hero Product & Tech community to align our tools with the group’s global infrastructure and standards. Your work will unlock new opportunities and improve efficiency across Delivery Hero’s entities.

• Lead the vision, strategy, and execution of the roadmap for Delivery Hero’s cloud kitchens products that drive growth and profitability across the vertical.
• Act as the primary liaison between the GFS Product/Tech hub in Berlin and the business heads in the regions. You will translate ground-level operational pains into a high-impact technical roadmap in collaboration with the business heads.
• Communicate the product vision and technical trade-offs to senior leadership (VPs/Directors) while providing clear, motivating "Whys" to your engineering and product squads.
• Co-own the tech-driven growth of our topline KPIs (Sales, Occupancy, Avg. Daily Orders, Prep Time, Rider Wait Time, etc.) with the business heads
• Manage a high-caliber team (3 Managers, 14 ICs) that has historically enjoyed high autonomy. You will foster a culture of "Servant Leadership," earning respect through competence and support rather than top-down authority.
• Develop the next generation of Product and Tech leaders within GFS, with a passion for coaching and building high-performing teams.
• Reach out to the wider DH Product & Tech community and lead the integration of the GFS Product & Tech stack into the overall DH global infrastructure.
  

Qualifications

• Proven track record of leading product strategy and execution at scale, ideally in complex ecosystems, with 10+ years of product management experience, with at least 5 years in leadership roles.
• Experience in managing and developing product & tech managers, with a passion for coaching and building high-performing teams.
• Strong strategic thinking with the ability to define and drive vision across complex stakeholder landscapes and multiple teams.
• Strong analytical approach to product development, including designing experiments, interpreting data, and applying insights to improve outcomes.
• Good understanding of logistics, marketplace, or pricing-related domains, and how to balance growth, profitability, and operational complexity.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to influence across regions, functions, and seniority levels.
