SOUS exists to give independent restaurants the same acquisition-to-retention infrastructure that only chains and delivery platforms could previously afford. We build it as one connected data layer, replacing the fragmented stack most restaurants run today: a listings tool here, a separate storefront there, and no CRM at all.

Spotlight owns discovery, as search shifts from Google links to AI assistants recommending where to eat. Commerce owns the transaction and, critically, the guest relationship that marketplaces have been extracting for a decade. Every order through that owned channel generates data that sharpens the next cycle of visibility, personalisation and retention, compounding in the restaurant's favour instead of the platform's.

Our long-term bet is simple. As AI becomes the default interface for "where should I eat", the restaurants that own their guest data and their presence in that layer will keep the margin, and the ones still renting both from marketplaces will not. We are building the infrastructure to make the first outcome the default, not the exception.

We are a team of 27, working from our headquarters on the Vijzelstraat in Amsterdam city centre, and we are growing fast across the Netherlands, Germany and South Africa.

About the role

SOUS helps independent food and beverage entrepreneurs grow by building what we believe will be the last employee a restaurant owner ever has to hire that touches a screen. After a strong start in the Netherlands, Germany is now one of our most important growth markets, and we are scaling our team there quickly.

As Sales Manager Germany you bring SOUS to independent restaurants across the country. You are one of the first people building our German sales team, which means real ownership, a big market to win and a fast track to grow with it.

Your team

You join the Sales team Germany and report to the Sales Lead Germany, as part of the international sales organisation led by our Global Head of Sales. You work closely with our teams in Amsterdam across Growth, Partnerships and Merchant Success.

Tasks

Your role in this growth

• Focus fully on new business and drive consistent growth in the single and multi-outlet restaurant segments in Germany
• Own your complete sales funnel: follow up warm leads, create new opportunities, close deals and nurture customer relationships
• Work with autonomy and full responsibility, paired with clear targets
• Collaborate closely with the Sales Lead Germany on regional expansion and larger accounts
• Help shape the German sales playbook as we scale the team
• Follow a defined progression path towards Senior Sales Manager or other commercial roles

Key responsibilities

• Build and manage a strong outbound and inbound pipeline in the German food and beverage market
• Run consultative sales conversations with chefs and restaurant owners, remote and on site
• Convert both hot and cold leads into qualified opportunities and closed deals
• Manage the entire sales cycle, from prospecting through to onboarding
• Share local market insights with marketing and product, from Lieferando dynamics to regional differences

Requirements

• 2 to 6 years of sales experience; a SaaS, hospitality or startup background is preferred
• Strong communication skills with a consultative, solution-oriented approach
• Comfortable working with targets, CRM workflows and structured outreach
• Affinity with the food and beverage sector, AI and digital products
• An existing network in the German restaurant or food and beverage industry is a plus
• Native or fluent German and good English
• Willing to travel for merchant visits and regular team days in Amsterdam

• Base salary of €50,000 to €62,000 gross per year, depending on experience
