As Senior Product Designer UX/UI (all genders) , you will cover a parental leave in a fixed-term role from January 2027 to April 2028 . You'll take over design ownership in one of our cross-functional product squads and lead AI-first experiences that let craft businesses run their operations effortlessly.

Your responsibilities

• Design owner of the squad: You own the design of a product area in a cross-functional squad and shape the roadmap together with Product and Engineering, based on user insights and business KPIs.

• Fast ramp-up & continuity: You take over ongoing projects in a two-week handover, get productive quickly, and hand your work back cleanly at the end of the contract.

• User research: You take an active part in research together with Product Managers (interviews, usability tests), synthesize findings with AI, and turn insights into clear problem definitions and design decisions.

• Concept & prototyping: You develop product concepts together with Product, Engineering, and Customer Success, and validate them early with testable prototypes built with company-approved AI tools.

• UX/UI design: You derive improvement ideas from product analytics and use the ToolTime Design System to create high-fidelity responsive designs and native mobile experiences – including motion design and custom graphics.

• AI-powered experiences: You design AI-first user flows and help shape fully AI-powered product experiences as ToolTime brings more AI into its product.

• Design team: You take an active part in design team operations, design critiques, and knowledge-sharing sessions, and contribute to the ToolTime Design System.

• AI in your workflow: You use AI tools daily for research, ideation, copy drafts, and prototyping – while staying responsible for the design decisions behind the output.

Your profile

• You have 5+ years of experience designing digital products in cross-functional teams , ideally in B2B SaaS or complex workflow tools.

• You have a track record of owning features or product areas end-to-end and shipping measurable improvements.

• You explain your design choices clearly while understanding the goals of other teams and functions, and you find compromises without sacrificing UX.

• You get up to speed quickly in a new domain and enjoy a clearly defined, high-impact engagement.

• You put users at the centre of your work – you analyse, understand, and frame user pains before jumping to solutions.

• You simplify complex requirements into clear, lean design solutions.

• You have strong visual design skills and a solid understanding of design principles.

• You think in systems and have experience working with and contributing to a design system.

• You're confident in Figma and comfortable using AI-assisted design and prototyping tools.

• You have experience collaborating with other designers and with stakeholders at different levels.

• You have strong interpersonal skills and communicate clearly in English ; German is a nice-to-have.

• A salary range of €75,000 – €85,000 gross per year , plus a 10% annual bonus tied to company target achievement, paid out quarterly.
