What you'll do
You make sure our products actually get used: that customers activate, stay, grow, and come back. You turn what customers do into clear, decision-ready insight for the product team, and you push for the changes that make customers more successful.
This is a product role with a commercial edge, not a back-office finance or accounting role. You work with numbers, partner contracts, and business cases, but always through the lens of the product, its users, and how they succeed.
Be close to the customer and the product
Use our products yourself and know them the way a customer does.
Talk to customers and customer-facing teams to understand what they are trying to achieve and where they get stuck.
Be the person who can say, with evidence, why customers do or don't do what we hoped.
Make product success measurable
Make sure the metrics actually reach our systems: work hands-on in our data systems and BI tooling (for example Omni) to capture product-usage and product-success data and get it into the system. Where something is not yet measurable, work with the product and engineering teams to instrument the events we need.
Some KPIs come from Product Managers or Commercial leads, others you define yourself. Either way, you align on why a metric makes sense and what we want to achieve with it.
Build and run the product KPI view across the customer lifecycle: activation, onboarding, adoption, engagement, retention, churn, and expansion.
Push measurement further with automation and AI-assisted monitoring, so insight arrives continuously, with thresholds and alerts that surface issues early.
Be the commercial challenger for our partners
Many of our products are built together with third-party partners and suppliers (for example domain registries, or security partners like Patchstack) who help make the product more successful. You own the commercial side of these relationships.
Understand and manage what we deliver and what the partner delivers: pricing, scope, and terms. Build the business cases for new partnerships and review the ones we already have.
partner and supplier negotiations led by the Product Manager, you are the constructive "bad cop": you scrutinize whether cost and scope are really in our favour, and you challenge the PM where they are not.
Work with Finance on the financial reporting, but own the commercial logic of the partnership yourself.
Challenge and sharpen, don't just supply data
You are not a data vending machine. You dig into the product, understand it end to end, and form your own point of view.
Challenge the metrics people ask for: is this the right metric, what is its real value, and how do we best capture it? You sharpen the KPIs themselves, you don't just produce them.
Challenge the product teams hard and hunt for improvement together with them. Bring problems and proposals to the Product Manager with a point of view, not just a chart.
Bring structure to how we measure, decide, and prioritize, so the team spends its time on decisions, not spreadsheets
What you'll bring
SaaS or subscription experience is a must. You have worked on a product where the relationship lasts years and success means customers staying, using, and coming back, not a one-time sale. Experience limited to finance departments of banks, manufacturers, or other one-time-sale organizations is not what we are looking for.
Genuine curiosity about customers, and the habit of using the product yourself and talking to the people who use it.
Strong and hands-on with data: you can define KPIs, read a funnel, and interpret activation, retention, churn, and revenue metrics, and explain them simply to non-analysts. You work directly in tools like Omni to build what you need, and where data is missing you are comfortable working with engineering to get it measured. You are keen to push measurement further with AI-assisted monitoring.
You challenge metrics, you don't just produce them: you question whether a KPI is the right one, what value it actually delivers, and how best to capture it.
A commercial mindset and a solid business background (for example a BWL degree or equivalent commercial experience). You are comfortable with numbers, pricing, business cases, and contract scope, and you can tell a good deal from a bad one. This is commercial judgement, not bookkeeping.
Initiative and a bit of hunger: you go looking for the "why", you flag problems before you are asked, and you turn up with proposals.
A strong collaborator across product, engineering, customer-facing, and finance teams.
Fluent English. German is a welcome plus.
