Business Development Manager (m/f/d) for the renewable energy industry

About H.E.A.T.

H.E.A.T. develops power plant control software with a focus on resilience, market integration, and bringing AI-based tooling to service. Our customers are EPC/Distributors/IPP combining gensets (diesel, gas, CHP) with renewables and industrial batteries.

The Role

As our Business Development Manager, you will blend market research, direct outreach, and sales strategy to expand our partner network. You will analyze how industrial customers use battery storage and turn those insights into high-converting sales materials and targeted outbound campaigns.

The role suits someone in their early career who is curious, proactive and willing to dive into a complex energy market and battery applications.

Aufgaben

What You’ll Do:

• Identify, map and nurture prospective partners (5-10 at a time). Build a focused pipeline of high-potential companies.
• Execute outreach strategies to reach potential clients using direct outreach, networking, referrals and other approaches.
• Research prospective clients to understand their business models, technical capabilities, and needs before prioritizing.
• Build a deep, practical understanding of industrial battery applications.
• Translate market insights into clear sales materials such pitch decks, use-cases and market overviews.
• Own and grow our LinkedIn presence by creating relevant content. Help H.E.A.T. to build industry credibility and attract potential clients.

Qualifikation

What You Bring:

• Experience in business development, market research, consulting, or B2B sales. Ability to develop sales material for complex and highly technical products.
• High curiosity about energy markets, industrial batteries, and clean energy.
• Analytical and commercially minded. Ability to identify which companies matter and explain why.
• Resourceful and self-directed in order to develop your own business-development approach.
• Ability to turn complex technical topics into simple, written and visual content.
• Proactive outreach mindset. You’re comfortable approaching new people in person and online.
• Clear, proactive communication skills.
