Our Mission

At Terra One, we’re scaling renewable energy infrastructure by advancing battery storage technology and AI-powered energy trading across Europe. Our storage systems ensure clean energy is available exactly when it’s needed, reducing CO₂ emissions and enhancing grid stability. At the same time, our proprietary trading models maximize the efficient use of green electricity in real time.

To support this mission, we’re looking for a motivated working student or Intern who’s eager to apply data skills to one of the biggest challenges in Germany.

Your Responsibilities

• Build and optimize data pipelines that support our machine learning and trading platforms
• Develop and deploy real-time and batch data processing solutions
• Work closely with the ML and trading teams to ensure data quality and availability
• Monitor and maintain performance of our data infrastructure
• Help design scalable, cloud-based data architectures

Who We’re Looking For

You’re currently enrolled in a program like:

• Computer Science / Information Systems Management (Wirtschaftsinformatik)
• Data Science / Statistics / Mathematics
• Environmental Informatics
• Renewable Energy
• Industrial Engineering with Energy or IT focus

Working Hours :

The working student role is part-time (20 hours/week), while the internship position is full-time (40 hours/week).

Your Technical Toolkit

• Python with libraries such as pandas, dask, airflow
• Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or other cloud platforms
• Experience with tools like BigQuery, Cloud Storage, or similar
• Understanding of workflow orchestration tools (e.g., Airflow)
• Basic knowledge of SQL or MongoDB
• Git for version control

Nice to have:

• Experience in a startup or fast-paced environment
• Based in Berlin
• Familiarity with German energy sector terms (language not required)
