Technical Product Owner (m/f/d)

Since the foundation in 2019, Famedly has been committed to digitizing medical communication processes in compliance with data protection regulations and thus revolutionizing the healthcare system. Famedly has launched the first gematik-certified TI messenger to improve communication and collaboration within the healthcare sector. Famedly enables medical teams to share sensitive patient information, images and other files in real time and from any location - from medication schedules and lab results to X-rays. As a dynamic, remote-first startup based in Berlin with a growing and experienced team, we work together every day towards our vision of a healthcare system without information barriers.

We are seeking a Technical Product Owner (m/f/d) to join our product team. In this role, you will bridge the gap between customer needs, business objectives, and engineering execution. You’ll define and prioritize the product backlog, own the product roadmap, and ensure timely delivery of high-quality features.

Key Responsibilities:

• Define product vision and strategy through collaboration with stakeholders (customers, business teams, engineering, design).
• Track bugs while supporting teams with error analysis.
• Develop and maintain a prioritized product roadmap aligned with business goals.
• Create, refine, and prioritize user stories, epics, and technical tasks in GitHub, JSM, or Notion.
• Ensure acceptance criteria are clear, testable, and aligned with user needs.
• Serve as the primary contact for the development team during sprints.
• Make decisive actions to remove team blockers and accelerate delivery.
• Keep stakeholders informed of progress, risks, and dependencies.
• Collect and analyze feedback from demos, user testing, and support channels.
• Track product performance, customer satisfaction, and usage metrics to guide future improvements.
• Ensure product compliance with industry specifications.

Requirements:

• Excellent German and English communication skills, both written and spoken.
• Good understanding of modern software architecture, APIs, and system integrations.
• 3+ years' experience as a Technical Product Owner, Product Owner, or similar role in software development.
• Proven experience writing user stories, acceptance criteria, and collaborating with developers.
• Outstanding communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and system-design capabilities.
• Skilled at prioritization, decision-making under uncertainty, and balancing technical debt with feature delivery.
