The Opportunity

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced HSE Advisor to join a major Data Centre construction project based in Berlin. Working as part of a large multidisciplinary construction team, you will play a key role in driving safety performance, ensuring compliance with site procedures, and promoting a strong safety culture across all phases of the project.

This role is suited to a proactive HSE professional with previous experience on large-scale industrial, pharmaceutical, mission-critical or data centre projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the implementation and maintenance of the project's Health, Safety and Environmental Management System.
• Conduct regular site inspections, audits and safety tours.
• Ensure compliance with local legislation, client requirements and project HSE standards.
• Deliver site inductions and ongoing safety briefings.
• Investigate incidents, near misses and unsafe conditions, producing detailed reports and corrective actions.
• Monitor subcontractor safety performance and provide guidance where required.
• Review RAMS, permits to work and other safety documentation.
• Participate in toolbox talks, safety meetings and project planning sessions.
• Maintain accurate HSE records, reports and statistics.
• Promote behavioural safety initiatives and actively drive a positive safety culture on site.
• Liaise with project management, construction teams, subcontractors and client representatives on all HSE matters.

Requirements

• Relevant Health & Safety qualification (NEBOSH General Certificate, NEBOSH Construction, Diploma or equivalent).
• Previous experience working as an HSE Advisor on major construction projects.
• Data Centre, Pharmaceutical, Industrial, Power Generation or Mission Critical project experience highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of construction safety regulations and best practice.
• Experience carrying out audits, inspections and incident investigations.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work independently and influence safety performance across multiple work fronts.
• Full right to work within the EU is advantageous.
