Intern - Founders Associate (f/m/d) Fintech Startup (Serial Entrepreneurs) Starting in January 2027

We co-founded and led Viafintech (Barzahlen) to 100+ FTE , one of the most successful German fintechs, active in 17 markets across the EU and USA, and sold it in 2021 for a € three-digit million amount to NYSE-listed Paysafe Group.

Now we’re off to our next venture. This time we’re building a global champion for prepaid products: gift cards (Apple, Amazon, Google), airtime and eCash all in one simple API. Think of finperks as a stripe/adyen for all prepaid products and payments.

We started in summer 2025 and in just a few months we have already onboarded 700+ brands, and our first client goes live by the end of the year.

Many people completely underestimate the market size: about €600bn sold per year today, going to €1.8tn by 2028.

Instead of 5 players in the chain (brand → issuing tech provider → global distributor → local distributor → client), we connect brands directly with clients via the finperks platform. Today 95% of prepaid is still sold in the Global North; we believe that for the gig economy to monetize the Global South, prepaid will be key - from Netflix and Google to Apple and Uber.

Tasks

As a Founder Associate Intern, you'll work directly alongside the founding team and be involved in every aspect of building finperks:

• Brand Side & Brand Approvals: Manage brand approval workflows across clients and suppliers, including tracking approval status; maintain and analyze the brand approval across markets and clients
• Client & Supplier Operations: Manage ongoing client pipelines from contract signing through go live, including compliance tracking, and supplier product maintenance
• Strategic Projects: Work on strategic initiatives such as internationalization strategy, product depth versus go to market trade offs, org structure, and market entry planning, including building your own analysis frameworks and decision materials for the founders
• Operational Excellence & Automation: Build and optimize internal tools and automations that scale operations, such as outreach workflows, onboarding trackers, and internal reporting
• Cross Functional Collaboration: Work closely with sales, operations, and IT to drive projects forward across team boundaries

Requirements

• Drive & Ambition: You're motivated to go the extra mile and thrive in fast-paced, dynamic startup environments
• Analytical Mindset: You're proficient in PowerPoint and Excel, with strong analytical skills and the ability to quickly grasp complex business models and market dynamics
• Tech-Savvy: You're comfortable with AI tools and can implement small automations independently
• Communication Skills: Excellent English communication skills. We have a lot of German speakers already in the team. So if you speak French, Italian, Spanish, Polish, Portugese, Dutch or any other major european language that would be great.
• Entrepreneurial Spirit: You're excited about building something from scratch and comfortable with ambiguity and rapid iteration

Nice to have: Prior startup/FinTech or Consulting experience
