Your team & responsibilities

You will join the Legal team and report directly to the Head of Legal based in France.

You will act as the main legal point of contact for the German business teams and provide pragmatic legal advice on day-to-day operational matters.

This position has opened following the acquisition of Readly and the launch of our operations in the DACH region.

Your missions

Legal support for the German market

• Advise internal teams on legal issues related to Cafeyn’s activities in Germany

• Support business, product and partnership teams in their legal needs

• Ensure that new initiatives are properly framed from a legal perspective

• Contribute to the preparation of internal reporting on legal risks

• Draft, review and negotiate commercial agreements with publishers and distribution partners

• Ensure contractual consistency with the Group’s legal framework

• Adapt and maintain contract templates for the German market

Integration of Readly operations

• Understand the legal and contractual frameworks inherited from Readly

• Support the alignment of German legal processes with the Group’s legal framework

• Participate in the structuring of contractual processes and tools

Who are we looking for?

You are at the right place if you have

• 3+ years of experience in a similar position, ideally in digital media, SaaS, subscription platforms, content or technology businesses

• Strong knowledge in contracts, intellectual property, commercial law...

• Capacity to work in an international environment

• Excellent communication, writing and presentation skills

• Fluent in German & English; additional European languages are a strong asset
