Associate, Legal Counsel (fixed-term)

Job Description

We are on the lookout for an Associate, Legal Counsel to join the Legal Commercial Team for a 12-month fixed term contract on our journey to always deliver amazing experiences.

In the Legal Commercial Team, you’ll support key initiatives by providing proactive legal guidance that aligns business goals with regulatory standards. Your work will help mitigate risks and ensure we’re positioned for sustainable, long-term success—making you a key contributor to our mission of delivering amazing experiences worldwide.

• Support the growth of our ecosystem by drafting and reviewing commercial contracts, acting as a key partner in securing the products and services that keep us moving.
• Assist in the management of legal disputes and claims, providing the research and coordination needed to reach swift, professional resolutions.
• Become a subject matter expert in the fast-paced food and grocery delivery space by conducting research on global legal trends and regulations.
• Act as a reliable point of contact for internal teams, providing clear and practical legal guidance.
• Play a vital role in modernizing our legal department by helping to implement and manage global projects and cutting-edge legal tech tools.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in a law firm or in-house legal department, supported by a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) or completion of the First or Second State Examination.
• A proven track record of reviewing commercial contracts and assisting with legal disputes, ideally within the tech or service-provider sectors.
• A proactive interest in expanding your expertise across antitrust, corporate, and IP law to provide well-rounded support to our evolving business.
• The ability to work independently on diverse projects, using strong analytical skills to transform complex legal tasks into accurate, timely, and well-organized solutions.
• Native or full professional proficiency in both German and English, with the ability to translate complex legal advice into clear, actionable guidance for non-legal stakeholders.
