A premier international leader in the digital logistics and delivery space is seeking a high level specialist to join their mathematical optimization team. This organization manages a massive global network connecting millions of users with local partners and is looking for an expert to refine the automated systems that drive their real world operations.

The core of this role involves architecting sophisticated optimization frameworks to manage supply and demand equilibrium within a complex logistics web. You will analyze immense datasets to build high performance models that function in real time. We are looking for someone capable of deploying robust optimization strategies using mixed integer programming, constraint programming, and metaheuristics to influence large scale operational choices.

You will act as a bridge between predictive modeling and tactical control by partnering with data science teams to create hybrid systems where machine learning informs optimization parameters. Beyond technical execution you will serve as a mentor to junior staff and a champion for best practices in software engineering and model lifecycle management.

Key Responsibilities

Architecting large scale real time systems for time sensitive decision making in production

Developing exact optimization models and decomposition techniques

Applying robust optimization methods including stochastic and scenario based programming

Utilizing commercial and open source solvers such as Gurobi CPLEX or Google OR Tools

Writing high quality object oriented Python code for complex mathematical libraries

Designing simulation environments to validate model performance

Scaling and maintaining production level models for long term stability

Collaborating in an agile environment to pitch business cases and present insights to stakeholders

Technical Requirements

Extensive experience with Python and optimization libraries like Pyomo or GurobiPy

Deep knowledge of mathematical programming and heuristic methods

Proficiency with Docker and git for reproducible development

Understanding of software testing and code review standards

Familiarity with machine learning foundations

Experience with simulation for data generation and validation

Knowledge of Control Theory concepts such as feedback loops or PID is highly valued

Background in logistics or supply chain management is an advantage
