We are seeking a new team member to join our diverse and international team on our journey to becoming a beloved food brand in Berlin.

Tasks

• You are responsible for the sourdough bagel production: You own, with the team, the daily bake from start to finish - scaling, hand-shaping, proofing, and baking our full bagel range to consistent quality standards.
• You are responsible of the dough and fermentation management: You monitor and maintain our sourdough starter, adjusting process variables as needed to achieve the right results everyday.
• You are responsible of carrying out cleaning and sanitation tasks in the BOH independently and in compliance with operational hygiene standards and applicable food safety regulation.
• You actively manage food stock following FIFO principles, monitor storage and contribute to weekly ordering to avoid waste and ensure continuity of production reporting directly to your manager.

Requirements

• You have 1 or 2 years of hands-on experience on a bakery, pastry kitchen, or artisan environment. You are comfortable with dough handling and understand the fundamentals or fermentation, even if you are still developing that knowledge.
• You pay attention to the details, dough texture, bake and shape consistency, and you hold yourself to a high standard.
• You communicate clearly, support your colleagues, and contribute positively to the bakery/kitchen dynamic. We are a small team, a strong team spirit matters.
• You are personally engaged with quality food, take pride in what you make, and feel aligned with what HALO stands for.
• You are open for weekday and weekend shifts, and have prior experience in a fast-paced production environment.
• You’re fluent in English, German is a plus.
