WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

In our supply chain unit, you will process customer orders for transports from various business units ex Europe globally (focus on airfreight) in compliance with legal, country or customer regulations.

• You manage customer orders and transports for shipments overseas (Airfreight) for dedicated business units, taking into account the required customer deadlines at cost-optimal conditions. Your proactive communication regarding delays and incidents is essential.
• Moreover, you ensure compliance with complex legal, country, and customer regulations, as well as BASF's internal safety and packaging standards.
• You supervise the recording, fulfillment, and monitoring of customer-specific service agreements and service levels, ensuring all order-related and quality requirements are met to exceed customer expectations.
• Take responsibility for end-to-end accountability in close collaboration with the responsible import managers in the receiving regions. This includes monitoring the process from filling and loading to delivery, ensuring compliance with applicable Incoterms and meeting the customer's desired deadlines.
• You cooperate and coordinate order- and transport-related activities with all units and bodies involved, including locations and loading points, customs clearance, purchasing, logistics service providers ad authorities. Proactively identifying process optimizations, developing solution approaches, and monitoring implementations are also part of your responsibilities.
• Furthermore, you prepare, procure, and manage order- and transport-related documents in compliance with the legal and regulatory requirements for both export and import. This will also serve as a basis for verifying any additional costs incurred, such as freight accounting.
• Show your skills in maintaining and managing customer and order-related master data, independently handling complex letters of credit orders, and ensuring full compliance with all legal, commercial, and financial regulations.

WHAT YOU OFFER

• commercial, logistics or forwarding-related training or comparable studies (Bachelor degree)
• several years of professional experience in supply chain operations (Air) and good knowledge of import/export, distribution and warehouse processes
• effective communication in German and English as well as presentation and consulting skills
• specific knowledge regarding restrictions and terms of Airfreight operations
• ideally knowledge of SAP R/3 & S4 HANA

WHAT WE OFFER

• Gross annual salary (full-time): 35.000 - 39.000 €, depending on qualification and work experience, 40.000 - 46.000 € possible with correspondingly higher qualifications. In addition, you can expect a bonus dependent on the company's success as well as individual performance.
