Founding Sales (SDR to Full-Cycle)

About the Role

This is a founding sales seat at a seed-stage vertical SaaS startup that provides software, AI tools, and back-office services to roofing businesses in Germany. You will be the first dedicated sales hire, working directly with the CEO to own the entire revenue motion, from cold call to signed contract, and help build the sales function from the ground up.

What You'll Do

• Run a tested outbound calling motion every day from day one, hitting a clear quota of attended discovery calls with qualified roofers.

• Continuously improve the script and sharpen objection handling with every call.

• Take over the full sales cycle within your first quarter: run demos, handle objections, send contracts, and close deals independently.

• Own the revenue number and report on pipeline activity and CRM data accurately.

• Document and rebuild the sales playbook so the team you help hire can replicate the motion.

• Help shape the structure and direction of the future sales team alongside the founding team.

What We're Looking For

• At least 1 year of quota-carrying sales experience (SDR, BDR, AE, or similar), with a track record of hitting quota, preferably in outbound roles.

• Demonstrated experience with high-volume cold calling and phone-based outbound prospecting.

• Native-level German fluency; this is a hard requirement as partners communicate exclusively in German.

• High agency: comfortable acting on partial information and turning ambiguity into execution.

• Resilient and coachable, with a genuine enthusiasm for the phone and for improving under rejection.

• Experience running deals end-to-end, including demo, objection handling, and close, or a clear readiness to do so within a quarter.

• Familiarity with CRM tools, sales activity tracking, and pipeline reporting.

• Prior experience selling to SMBs, trades or craft businesses, or owner-operators is a plus.

• Experience at a VC-backed or venture-scale startup is a plus.

• Based in Berlin or willing to relocate; role requires five days per week in the Berlin office.

Compensation & Benefits

• Base salary: €50,000 per year

• OTE: €90,000 per year, with €100,000+ possible with overperformance
