German Speaking Payroll Specialist (Hybrid)

Due to our continued growth, we are looking for dedicated Payroll Specialists to join our 25-person team in either Berlin or Leipzig .
Your Mission: Mastering the Payroll Ecosystem
You will take full accountability for the payroll lifecycle of your assigned clients, maintaining the highest levels of accuracy and legal integrity.
- Complete Payroll Management: Independently process monthly salary cycles for approximately 800–1,000 employees.
- Regulatory Filings: Handle all mandatory tax and social insurance reporting, including the preparation of specialized certificates.
- Expert Consulting: Act as the go-to advisor for clients on intricate wage tax and social security matters.
- Administrative Oversight: Manage employee master data and lead all communications with health insurance providers and government agencies.
- Audit Readiness: Resolve complex payroll discrepancies and conduct systematic quality audits to ensure compliance.
- Year-End Operations: Drive year-end closing processes and provide expert support during external audits (e.g., pension insurance reviews).
- Process Innovation: Assist in onboarding new clients and contribute to the evolution of our internal digital workflows.
The Profile: Fiscal Precision & Technical Agility
We are looking for a detail-oriented professional who excels in a modern, digital environment and has a firm grasp of German fiscal regulations.
- Experience: At least 2 years of proven experience in German payroll accounting ( Lohnbuchhaltung ).
- Legal Expertise: Current, in-depth knowledge of German wage tax and social security laws.
- Language Skills: Native or near-native fluency in German ( C1 level ), with excellent communication skills.
- Tech Proficiency: High digital literacy; experience with SBS Lohn is a strong asset, though general software and MS Office skills are required.
- Professional Approach: A methodical, service-oriented work style with the ability to thrive in a dynamic setting.
- Preferred Skills: Experience in Construction Payroll (Baulohn) or the Public Sector is highly desirable.
