If you're here for the title, leave now. We're recruiting a final senior operator for our five-person core ops team who gets their hands dirty, builds processes, and enables us to scale. We are looking for someone with the grit to build a €100M vertical from scratch.

What Buena Does
We build property management software. We acquire property management companies across Germany and plug our software in to increase revenue and profit. 70,000+ units, 12 locations, 25+ acquired companies. In two years, we've become Germany's third-largest property manager with less than 25 full-time members at HQ.

Aufgaben

What You'll Do

• Integrate portfolio companies. You get assigned two new acquisitions — say Magdeburg and Hamburg. You call the team leads, audit their operations, scope product features with our PM, and drive software migration. Within days you're on a train with a packed bag.
• Scale margins while growing revenue. A portfolio company does €1.2M at 4% margin. Your job: take it to 35% through Buena software integration and unit growth. You own the numbers.
• Create the playbook. Build a repeatable integration process so scalable that eventually interns can run it. Then move on to harder problems.
• Conceptualize and build an entire new revenue vertical for Buena from the ground up. Insurance. Banking. Energy. You pick the vertical, you build the P&L.
• Recruit and motivate. Directly lead hiring at portfolio companies. Build the teams that make it work.

Qualifikation

What We Need

• Native-level German (C2).
• Based in Berlin. In-person culture, no exceptions.
• You've built something from scratch — a company, a team, a process, a product.
• High intellectual ability. Strong interpersonal skills.
• You don't need to be managed.

Work directly with the Leadership Team

Anyone joining us as a Business Generalist will work directly with the Leadership Team. One could say that you’ll learn a lot from this, but as mentioned above, that’s secondary. Primarily, working with the Leadership Team means two things:

You can grow with the company : In a few years, I'll need senior execs responsible for areas like insurance, brokerage, etc. I want to prepare you for this development so that—even when Buena reaches €100 million or €10 billion in revenue—you continue to report directly to the Leadership Team.
