Team Lead - E-Bike Mechanics

Workster is partnering with a fast-growing e-mobility startup to recruit an Operations Specialist for Upway’s Berlin Upcenter, the company’s largest center globally.
In this role, you will be key to the e-bike refurbishment process, ensuring that each bike is in excellent condition for customers. You will work closely with both the mechanics and operational teams, contributing to the overall success of the Upcenter by supporting the entire operations flow, from the moment the bikes arrive to their final shipment.

Your Role

• Functional Testing: Independently carry out functional tests on newly arrived bikes, reviewing their condition before repairs.

• Bike Documentation: Document all bike components accurately to ensure the completeness of the data.

• Cleaning & Preparation: Clean and prepare bikes after repairs, ensuring they are in excellent condition for customer delivery.

• Photography: Take high-quality photos of bikes in the designated photo station for product listings.

• Shipping Coordination: Inspect bikes to ensure they meet quality standards, protect them for shipment, and coordinate with logistics partners for timely delivery.

• Inventory Management: Track bike and packaging material inventory, ensuring data accuracy.

• Team Leadership: Lead and guide a team of Operations Specialists, helping to prioritize tasks and achieve daily targets.

• Process Improvement: Continuously bring in ideas to improve processes and contribute to team success.

Your Qualifications

• Previous experience in logistics, warehouse management, or a similar operational role (not mandatory but a plus).

• Team player with clear communication skills to ensure a smooth workflow.

• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and proactively solve issues.

• Leadership experience is a plus, but not required.

• Motivated by sustainable mobility and a passion for making an impact.

• Physically fit—prepared to handle and lift heavy bikes.

• Comfortable using digital tools and able to communicate in English.
