AWS DevOps Engineer (m/f/d) -100% remote EU

We are searching the puzzle piece for our CTO and Principal Software Engineer — Work 100% remote as a Senior DevOps Engineer

We are applying for a Senior DevOps Engineer who is eager to implement his Knowledge and takes ownership of his work.

Tasks

We need your help with

• Evolving our AWS-based cloud infrastructure
• Overseeing network and security configurations (VPCs, IPv4/6, TLS, certificate management)
• Automating everything — from infrastructure (IaC) to deployments
• Getting hands-on with code — Python, Rust, Next.js are our go-tos
• Implementing and refining observability systems (logging, metrics, tracing, alerting)
• Planning and testing backup & restore strategies — including regular fire drills
• Enhancing CI pipelines using GitLab

Requirements

Your Profile

Entrepreneurial Thinking. You continuously optimize yourself and have a quick grasp of new information. You stand for systematic work and resource-oriented time management.

Take ownership. You know the balance between getting things done and doing it the right way.

Knowledge. You have advanced Python skills, experience with managing cloud based (AWS) infrastructure and monitoring tools.

Professional Experience. At least 5 years of experience as a DevOps Engineer. Lead experiences in projects is a plus.

Overview. You are experienced in consideration/ estimation of costs.

Communication. Your transparent and empathetic communication supports our team and product development.

Language Skills. English (C1- C2)

Education. You successfully completed your bachelor's degree in computer engineering or similar.

Did you work with Kafka or AWS SQS/SNS? That’s a plus!
