Senior Category Manager - Germany / Spain, Remote
Our Team:
Cimpress is creating a new business called Cimpress Open whose mandate will be to excel at serving customers via third-party channels. We will partner with companies that have strong customer relationships with end-customers who need mass-customized print products. In its initial stage, Cimpress Open will pursue opportunities with digital design software partners and established ecommerce marketplace platforms. This approach will evolve and expand over time as we establish a presence in these new segments.
We’re looking for a senior Category Manager to take end-to-end ownership of category strategy and product launches across marketplace partnerships, with Amazon as the primary focus today and additional partners to follow.
This is a true category management role, not a channel operations or account management position. You will own what products are launched, when they are launched, and how they perform commercially, including full responsibility for the launch pipeline and category forecast.
You will play a critical role in shaping our category management capability - defining KPIs, building reporting and planning infrastructure, and driving alignment across senior stakeholders in Channel, Operations, Finance, Product, Production, and Fulfillment.
What You Will Do:
Create, drive, and own the end-to-end product launch pipeline across partners
Own and manage the category-level forecast (volume, revenue, margin) in close partnership with Finance
Lead category execution on Amazon marketplaces (EU & US) , while building a model that can scale to future marketplace partnerships
Analyze market trends, customer behavior, and competitive dynamics to inform category and launch decisions
Drive senior cross-functional alignment across Channel, Operations, Product Owners, Production, and Fulfillment
Define and track category KPIs , ensuring performance is actively managed rather than reported retrospectively
Regularly present category performance, forecasts, risks, and recommendations to leadership
Optimize category performance through data-driven, commercially sound decision-making
Your Qualifications:
7+ years of proven category management experience, owning a product portfolio with commercial accountability
Demonstrated ownership of product launch roadmaps and forecasting in complex, cross-functional environments
Strong experience working with Amazon as a marketplace partner (EU & US); Amazon expertise is important, but category ownership comes first
Ability to abstract category strategy beyond Amazon-specific mechanics and apply it across partners
Highly data-driven, structured, and proactive, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability
Experienced in managing and influencing senior stakeholders across multiple functions
Fluent English required; German, French, Italian, or Spanish is a plus
Self-starter who operates independently and thrives in fast-moving, evolving setups
