Our client is seeking an accomplished Senior Account Manager to serve as the trusted executive advisor to their German publishing clients, driving long-term partnerships and business growth across the entire customer lifecycle.

Your Role

As Senior Account Manager you will:

  • manage a portfolio of key accounts in the German market, serving as their primary strategic partner and taking full ownership of the customer journey from onboarding through expansion,
  • work at the executive level to understand clients' business objectives, develop account strategies that align our client's solutions with their goals, and identify opportunities for growth and optimisation,
  • balance strategic advisory with hands-on problem-solving—guiding clients through sophisticated configuration needs, analysing complex business and technical queries, and ensuring seamless adoption of new capabilities.

Your responsibilities include:

  • strategic account planning and business reviews;
  • managing contract renewals and expansion opportunities;
  • leading complex implementations and feature adoptions;
  • coordinating cross-functional teams (development, operations, and technical specialists) to deliver exceptional outcomes;
  • acting as the authoritative voice of the customer within our client's organisation.

Requirements

What Makes You the Ideal Candidate

Your Profile:

  • Proven track record in account management or customer success, preferably in the publishing or software industry.
  • Deep understanding of publishing workflows or ERP systems.
  • Demonstrated success in managing strategic client relationships and driving revenue growth.
  • Experience navigating complex, multi-stakeholder environments.
  • Strategic thinker with strong analytical capabilities and business acumen.
  • Exceptional communicator who articulates complex technical concepts as compelling business value.
  • Fluent in German and English (additional languages are an asset).
  • Advanced proficiency with MS Office suite.
  • SQL/database knowledge highly valued for technical discussions.
  • Driver's license is required for regular client visits across Germany.
  • Working model: the role requires regular on-site presence at client locations and periodic visits to their offices, giving you the flexibility to manage your territory effectively while maintaining strong executive relationships.
