As an Engineering Manager (f/m/d), you will be the force multiplier for a cross-functional team of backend, frontend, and mobile engineers. You will be instrumental in building the products that empower heating installers and in shaping a culture of engineering excellence.

• Build and Grow a World-Class Team: You will hire, mentor, and develop a diverse team of exceptional engineers. You'll foster a culture of ownership, psychological safety, and continuous improvement through effective 1:1s, actionable feedback, and dedicated career coaching.

• Drive Technical Excellence: You will be accountable for your team's technical strategy and the operational health of its services. You'll guide architectural decisions, champion best practices for quality and reliability, and lead pragmatic discussions on managing technical debt. Your goal is to elevate the team's technical bar, not to be its top coder.

• Deliver High-Impact Products: You will own your team's delivery, ensuring it predictably meets its roadmap commitments. In close partnership with Product and Design, you'll manage priorities and risks to ship innovative features for our installer mobile app and our AI-powered Heating Installation Platform.

• Lead with Clarity and Alignment: You will translate the company's vision into a clear, actionable strategy for your team. You will ensure your team understands the "why" behind their work, connecting their technical contributions directly to customer value and business impact.

We're looking for a leader who is passionate about building both great products and great teams. You are a "player-coach" at heart - someone who leads from the front but understands that your greatest leverage comes from empowering your people.

• A Proven Engineering Leader: You have 2+ years of experience in an engineering leadership role, managing a team of software engineers. You have a track record of successfully shipping and operating complex software systems.

• Technically Credible and Curious: You possess a strong technical background and remain technically hands-on, likely as a senior or staff-level engineer from earlier in your career. You have a T-shaped profile, with deep expertise in one area (e.g., backend, frontend, mobile) but are fluent enough across the stack to challenge and guide technical conversations, whether they're about API design, mobile performance, or CI/CD pipelines.

• A People-Centric Manager: You are a natural mentor who is passionate about the growth and success of your team members. You know how to build an inclusive environment where engineers feel safe to experiment, learn, and do their best work.

• A Strategic and Pragmatic Partner: You excel at collaborating with product managers and other stakeholders. You can balance the push for new features with the need for technical investment, and you communicate progress, trade-offs, and risks with clarity.

Bonus Points ​

• Experience with Google Cloud Platform, Python and Kotlin programming languages.

• Experience with products involving AI/ML components.

• Familiarity with the challenges of building solutions for field service professionals or in the energy sector.
