Our Optical Communications segment has recently evolved from being a manufacturer of optical fiber and cable, hardware and equipment to being a comprehensive provider of industry-leading optical solutions across the broader communications industry.This segment is classified into two main product groupings – carrier network and enterprise network. The carrier network product group consists primarily of products and solutions for optical-based communications infrastructure for services such as video, data and voice communications. The enterprise network product group consists primarily of optical-based communication networks sold to businesses, governments and individuals for their own use..

EMEA Key Accounts Marketing Manager (m/f/d)
Role Purpose:
The EMEA Key Accounts Marketing Manager is part of the Corning Optical Communications Marketing organization and is responsible for creating and executing the marketing plans for our key accounts across the region. A key account is defined as a customer that is strategically important to our company, typically generating a significant portion of revenue or possessing high growth potential.
This person focuses on building and maintaining strong, long-term relationships with the company's most valuable clients to support revenue and/or share growth and increase customer loyalty.
This person will provide a high level of personalized service, attention, and tailored solutions to meet the accounts’ specific needs.
This position partners with internal and external stakeholders such as Product Line Management, Market Development, Sales, other marketing groups within the OCO Marketing organization, and our agencies and partners to define and execute metrics-driven marketing activities.
Key Responsibilities:
Support account growth
- Creates and executes Integrated Marketing Plans (IMPs). These are personalized, tailored IMPs for each key account.
- Commercialize new products and solutions.
- Collaborate with Sales, Market Development, and Product Line Management to win existing opportunities.
- Project manage execution of marketing campaigns and content creation for the segment, on time and on budget.
Increase key account loyalty
- Create marketing tools that improve communication with the key accounts and help them do business with us.
Serve as the account marketing expert
- Understand the account and its business.
- Brief leadership on plans, progress, or other topics associated with the segment and/or initiatives.
- Become a subject matter expert for the market inside the organization and for the broader industry; display a high degree of proficiency with a variety of analytics and dashboard systems, continually tracking and reporting on client engagement.
- Develop account expertise through engagement with market peers.
- Support communication strategy for the account.
Provide marketing thought leadership
- Effectively articulate value propositions and appropriate messaging and apply them to campaign communication assets.
- Develop relevant content and marketing offers to strengthen the relationship with the key accounts.
- Establish business / competitive intelligence processes to improve quality of our go-to-market strategies as well as competitor specific strategies as assigned.
Key Competencies:
- Bachelor's degree in a marketing- or business-related area (or a technical degree with appropriate business experience)
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a marketing role
- Experiece in marketing to key accounts
- German and English language skills are required
- Digital experience:
- Social media management
- Email campaigns
- Web (page creation and updates)
- SEO

- Demonstrated technical aptitude (ability to learn about products and solutions); desired knowledge in the telecom and/or IT industries
- Flexibility to operate across various key accounts

The ideal candidate is a passionate, creative, energetic person who loves marketing, is technically driven, and has proven experience creating game-changing strategies and content.
Desired Competencies:
- MBA or equivalent demonstrated experience (i.e., extensive experience in business)
- Experience in Telecommunications and/or Data Centers industries
