Junior AI / Data Engineer (m/f/d)

We’re a dynamic growth and media agency headquartered in Berlin, Germany, partnering with Europe’s, the US’s, and Asia’s most innovative digital brands. We focus on building scalable systems, automating processes, and unlocking value through data and AI-driven solutions.

We’re looking for a Junior AI / Data Engineer (m/f/d ) to join us for a 6–8 month parental leave cover . You’ll support data pipelines, automate workflows, and help implement AI-driven solutions across the business.

You will be working in:
English (fluency required), German is a plus.

How you will make an impact:

• Support data ingestion, transformation, and maintenance of data pipelines.

• Assist in automating and optimizing internal workflows and processes.

• Contribute to the development and implementation of AI-powered solutions, including coding agents and simple agentic workflows.

• Help with testing, deployment, and monitoring of new features and systems.

• Collaborate closely with operational and marketing teams to deliver practical, data-driven solutions.

• Document processes and support knowledge sharing within the team.

Skills you will need to be successful:

• 1–2 years of experience in Data Engineering, Backend Engineering, or similar (including internships or relevant projects).

• Solid foundation in Python with some hands-on project experience.

• Interest or initial experience with AI coding tools (e.g., Claude Code or similar).

• Basic familiarity with APIs, data pipelines, and cloud environments (GCP or AWS).

• Exposure to infrastructure as code tools like Terraform is a plus.

• Familiarity with LangChain / LangGrap h is a plus.

• Experience with Golang and JavaScript is a plus.

• Interest or initial experience in Marketing / AdTech is a plus.

• Understanding of version control (e.g., Git).

• Structured, hands-on, and eager-to-learn mindset with a focus on execution.

• Ability to work independently while proactively asking the right questions.

• Strong communication skills and willingness to collaborate with non-technical stakeholders.
