Trainer - Cybersecurity

We are launching a new comprehensive cybersecurity training program designed to equip aspiring professionals with the practical skills and knowledge required to build successful careers in cybersecurity.**

We are searching for a freelancer trainer to be our Cybersecurity trainer. The course will start mid-November but we would ideally like to fill this role earlier for assistance in shaping the course curriculum and material creation.**

The program provides learners with a strong foundation in IT, Linux, networking and operating systems before progressing into cybersecurity, identity and endpoint security, SOC and SIEM environments, threat intelligence, incident response, digital forensics, vulnerability management, cloud security, ethical hacking, web security, system hardening and AI-enabled cybersecurity.

We are currently looking for a freelance Cybersecurity Trainer to play a key role in delivering the program and supporting participants in developing the technical knowledge, practical skills and professional confidence required for entry-level careers in cybersecurity.

Tasks

• Train and support students throughout their daily sessions, combining theoretical concepts with practical, hands-on learning.
• Deliver engaging training across core cybersecurity topics, including networking, Linux, security fundamentals, IAM, endpoint security, SOC/SIEM, incident response, cloud security and ethical hacking.
• Create and maintain engaging teaching materials, practical exercises and realistic cybersecurity scenarios.
• Guide learners through hands-on labs and support them during the Integrated Cyber Defence Capstone.
• Work closely with other trainers and internal teams to ensure a consistent and high-quality learning experience.
• Continuously update training content to reflect current cybersecurity technologies, threats and industry best practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Security, Computer Science or a related field.
• Strong practical knowledge of cybersecurity, with a good understanding of IT, Linux, networking, operating systems and security fundamentals.
• Familiarity with areas such as SOC operations, SIEM, threat intelligence, incident response, vulnerability management, cloud security and ethical hacking.
• Previous teaching, training, mentoring or instructional experience is strongly preferred.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly to beginners.
• Professional working proficiency in English.
• Passion for cybersecurity, continuous learning and supporting others in developing their technical skills.
